Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Kevin R — 08 Apr 2016
The infamous Red Baron.
Charlie Brown views himself as a failure and lacks self confidence. His dog, Snoopy, is his best friend, but when he's not boosting his owner's confidence, Snoopy's fighting a battle with the Red Baron. A beautiful new student moves next door to Charlie Brown but he's too scared to ask her out. When Charlie is paired with his love interest for a school project, Charlie's life is flipped upside down.
"I could really use a dance partner.".
"Good luck with that.".
Steve Martino, director of Horton Hears a Who and Ice Age: Continental Drift, delivers The Peanuts Movie. The storyline for this picture is excellent and has a new age classic Peanuts feel to it, if that makes sense. The animation style was absolutely awesome and the voices fit the characters perfectly.
"This is the face of failure.".
My daughter has been asking to watch this movie with me for weeks so I picked up a special edition at Target that came with Snoopy and we watched it together the other night. It was excellent and way better than I anticipated. I loved the Red Baron sup plot and felt the storyline was perfect for the Peanuts universe. I also thoroughly enjoyed the animation style and felt this is worth adding to your collection.
"Can a brother and sister get a divorce?".
Grade: A+.
