Review of The Peanuts Movie (2015) by Ryan P — 21 Aug 2016
This movie is almost too adorable and if you grew up with the Peanuts, or if you're a kid who still adores them, there's not much wrong here. It's sweetly innocent and simple and highly nostalgic, with everything from gags to story beats being brought back to life.
To some, that might be a problem; this film is far from the somewhat more intellectual stuff from the 1950s-1970s most of us fell in love with. But, the animation is beautiful, the voice acting top notch, the energy infectious and it's just great seeing Charlie Brown, Snoopy and co.
on screen again.
