Review of The Patriot (2000) by Crl — 27 Sep 2011
The Patriot is a little too long, a little too predictable, a little too ahistorical, and a little too focused on bloody battles, revenge-fueled plot lines, and slow-motion fights to be truly enjoyable.
However the excellent performances turned in by all of its actors (especially Jason Isaacs) and it's occasionally enjoyable cinematography make it a watchable yet typical Mel Gibson flick.
