Review of The Patriot (2000) by Nate Q — 12 Dec 2013
Braveheart in America! except without bagpipes and scotish accents. Mel Gibson yet again plays a patriot fighting against English rule. The movie itself as some spectacular action secnes, that are probably acurate to the real battles back in the 1700's.
As for it;s accuracy, there are some battles featured in the movie that actually did happen, so that was done well, the characters were mostly accurate to actual people, but they may have had changed names or orgins, something of that sort.
You may find it quite long, but most war movies are like that, so if you are looking for and intresting well-made movie about warfare, I reccomend you watch this.
