Review of The Passion of the Christ (2004) by Petar ? — 02 Jul 2012
Yea I'm a Catholic so perhaps there is some bias in my views of this film. I consider it the most powerful film since Schindler's List and one of the most powerful of all time. If you feel exhausted after watching this, it's either because you didn't get it or you totally got it.
It's not a religious film, it's a film about the power of love in the face of hate or, perhaps, the power of hate in the face of love. Either way, there's a happy ending and a common message we commonly ignore, though it beats the hell out of us trying to get it through.
