Review of The Passion of the Christ (2004) by Josiah C — 09 Aug 2012
If Flixsters had a 6th star to give a movie, I would have done it. I can not say enough about this movie. This the absolute greatest, most realistic, and most graphic depiction of my Lord and personal saviour, Jesus Christ.
It truly depicts how much Jesus suffered for us. It was criticized because of the violence, but this is simply due to people's ignorance of what Mel was trying to accomplish. Mel Gibson, and Jim Caviezel are both Catholic, and this is somewhat of a Catholic movie, and that's cool because as I said it is very true to life.
I could almost cry, just writing my review. IF YOU'VE NEVER SEEN THIS MOVIE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SEE IT. Every ounce of blood seen represents every bit of his love for humanity. What really gets me is how so called expert film critics speak negatively about this film, and yet they'll call a movie like the The Last Temptation of Christ a work of art.
At least this film, although very gory is what truly happened, I believe.
