As horrifyingly painful as it is to see a rather authentic representation of Jesus' death, I believe this movie has great merit to Christian and non-Christian alike. It's all well and good to read the words in the Bible, but there was an actual man (God/man) who suffered unbelievable pain all the while loving each and every one of us with a zeal that we cannot comprehend.
It reminds me of the weight of my sin and the Amazing Grace that is God.
