Review of The Passion of the Christ (2004) by Hosea Aryo Bimo Widiotomo N — 03 Apr 2013
I don't know, I think I am subjective on this one but the historical accuracy of how a crucifixion were done at the time of The Roman Empire were quite correct down to the detail. The historical detail were also correct, the whip use on that time were designed to pierce the skin so deep it was technically ripping the skin apart, disfigured the flesh and inflict trauma...and yes, it was a bloodbath.
So, separating the fact that this movie is a religious movie, it was true to the historical details, and at many times history were hard to swallow....
And that historical detail is the reason why I gave this movie a high score.
