Review of The Passion of the Christ (2004) by Michael K — 28 Feb 2014
It's a powerful, realistic interpretation of the last days of Jesus. It presents in the way I'm sure the apostles would have remembered it as they wrote the scriptures years later. I think it gets a bad wrap from some critics because of the apparent anti-semetism, which may not be wholly undeserved, but that's not usually the reason given for the criticisms.
It's superbly made and insanely historically accurate, from the complete Aramaic and Latin script to the costumes and sets. Probably the most realistic vision of the time period, 'Passion' is no doubt divisive, but also an imminently important film.
