A great film that not only takes Jesus' death on the cross for us seriously, but is also more faithful to the four Gospels than any other biblical film I've seen so far. Critics don't understand that the violence IS the message being conveyed.
It's pathetic to say that the violence distracts us from it. Us believers will understand. But even unbelievers should understand.
