Review of The Passion of Darkly Noon (1995) by Ian M — 11 Jul 2009
This movie is so f---ed up, I'm not even going to pretend to understand it. Yet in spite of the twisted story and overwrought symbolism, this movie is incredibly watchable and re-watchable, with some unexpected and intriguing performances, a beautiful score, and enchanting cinematography featuring a vivid palette of saturated primary colours.
It probably isn't for everyone, but it's definitely worth a look if you're up for a little risk-taking.
