Review of The Party (1968) by Martin N — 24 Oct 2007
Funniest film I've ever seen. It might be considered racist if not for Sellers enigmatic, immensely likeable and sympathetic characterisation. The 'fool' is revealed as a better, more genuine person than the celebs surrounding him.
Also hugely evocative of 1960s America.
