Problematic, at best. The camera work is agonizing, everyone is a single shot, after the establishing shop... The editing is frenetic. The director Lee, is allowing, or encouraging the stellar cast to over act.
In the Heat of the Night this is not. The script is needlessly profane. That world doesn't exist anywhere.
