Watts and Norton star in a love story set among a cholera outbreak in the 1925 China. Beautifully shot in a scenic oriental enviroment this has the looks and the story to be a really good historic romance film but falls a bit flat.
Performances are stoic (although Norton does it on purpose) and there are fat too few dramatic moments to keep you interested. What only could have been...
