Review of The Pagemaster (1994) by Manu G — 30 May 2012
Though a lot like a TV cartoon, this magical adventurous tale was one of my favorites for six years. It really got me into the world of books. So ignore the critics, and send your kid to the library when your kid asks you to after he or she has seen this a couple times.
The film may not have much of a climax, but I like the script. A script about a child traveling through the world of dangerous fiction books to learn bravery sounds cheesy, but in the NeverEnding Story kind of way.
Plus, an all-star cast with plenty of humor for your kids to love without you thinking too much on how recycled the humor may be. It's a little scary, but it's clean and fun.
