Review of The Page Turner (2006) by Elaine M — 18 Dec 2007
Fantastic revenge drama. A young girl's dreams of becoming a pianist are shattered by a judge with a bad attitude, and she gets pretty pissed off. Francois is wonderfully evil as twisted Melanie who sets out years later to get back at the cause of her failure.
Whilst watching this, I couldn't help but feel it ought to have been japanese. Perhaps it's a little Auditionesque, what with the intraverted gormless psycho and creative pain- cellos have only one real purpose after all.
Definitely one to purchase...
