Review of The Oxford Murders (2008) by Pamela A — 07 Sep 2008
An interesting whodunnit which has a lot of good ideas, but smothered with complicated mathematical jargon that I'm not even going to pretend to understand. Elijah Wood put in a good performance and John Hurt was outstanding but the secondary cast aren't really up to the task and there are some dodgy scenes including a trip to a library where every book they desperately need is conveniently found on one single shelf! Overall though a pleasing, throwaway murder mystery.
