Review of The Oxford Murders (2008) by Glenn C — 26 Apr 2012
The Oxford Murders is load of bollocks. It's supposed to be one of those super intelligent whodunnit style thrillers but it's really just preposterous. The dialogue is contrived and the cinematography looks like they're failing dismally at emulating Hitchcock.
John Hurt spends all of his screen time yelling narcissistic theories and formulas and the rest of the characters have conversations which seem to have come straight off the abridged version of the script.
I contemplated turning it off a few times but persevered to the end... I kinda wish I hadn't.
