"Numbers lie" ..."The truth is not mathematical" ..."It's absurd, confused, random, disorderly, and deeply unpleasant." "Oxford Murders" is all except the latter of these yet its excessive use of symbols, puzzles, and theories does put a damper on the suspense.
Although the scientific mathematical terminology is not hard to follow, I question whether everyone in Oxford is really that bright.
