Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Conner R — 06 Jan 2010
Director William A. Wellman made films that were a little different than the rest. He brought us 'Beau Gest', 'The Iron Curtain', 'Battleground' and 'The Next Voice you hear,,,'.
This film is very dark for a western. It was released in 1943 during the height of WWII which must have been distracting from it's intent which was certainly more thn to entertain. Heny Fonda is excellent along with Dana Andrews.
