Review of The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) by Karem C — 04 Apr 2017
It's only an hour and fifteen minutes long but the impression it will leave on you just won't go away. It is a powerful and thought provoking drama that seems to combine the cynicism of 'Rashomon' and 'High Noon' into its running time (with a bit of 'M' thrown in as well).
It has strong themes of masculinity, justice, vengeance, the pitfalls of community and what I'm guessing is man's natural sociopathic tendencies, even in a woman.
Anyway, this film has to be seen to be believed.
