Review of The Overnight (2015) by Mo-Jai M — 03 Jul 2015
A bold, riotous and often unpredictable comedy led by some fine comedic acting, with some intriguing modern marriage satire which, whilst not quite as biting as last year's Gone Girl, proves consistently compelling.
It is, of course, hilarious, with a phallic-centric pivotal scene prompting much awkward wriggling in seats and the interplay between the two couples proving frequently funny. It's not particularly revolutionary, but it does push boundaries rarely approached by mainstream comedy and is a charming, funny and superbly made indie comedy.
