Review of The Overnight (2015) by Wesley B — 06 Jul 2015
Dirty talk and considerable nudity can't really add sex appeal to a film whose central premise is about as fresh as 1974: Pampered, privileged white couples try out sexual adventurousness after putting the kids to bed.
The minor frisson of who really wants to sleep with whom is about the only rabbit that mildly surprises out of the hat, and it's all downhill from there. The actors labor mightily in thinly written roles, and Adam Scott is going to need fresh material soon - that lovably scruffy nerd act doesn't have a lot of colors left to see.
