Review of The Outsiders (1983) by Cham O — 18 Nov 2013
If I would have seen this for the first time as an adult I would have thought it was the silliest piece of teen melodrama I had ever seen. But I didn't. I saw it as a 6 year old boy. So I fell in love with it despite its countless flaws.
Besides, it may have the best cast of newcomers ever assembled with Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, C Thomas Howell, Ralph Machio, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze and Diane Lane all in the very early stages of their careers.
