A mystery within a mystery, The Others takes the cake. When I first watched this movie, I had an idea of how it ended because I had the most unpleasant experience many of us fall prey too called spoiling.
However, if you don't already know, I think it would be near impossible to guess where this film is going. The Others is one of those delightful movies that lives for the sole purpose of having a good ending, and it succeeds.
It can get a bit flat at times though, which is why I think it would have been better to place what was the ending more in the middle of the film and then expand from there. It's not that the ending left you unsatisfied, but it would have been nice to see more of it.
That being said, The Others was a good film and deserves its place amongst the likes of 'The Sixth Sense'.
