Review of The Others (2001) by Jason L — 19 Jul 2013
The Others is a film drenched in gothic despair and laced with unease and caution. Set on the island of Jersey, The Others is a classic ghost story in every sense of the word and as the movie progresses, the hairs on the back of your neck will certainly raise and your flesh will occasionally goose-flesh.
Director/writer/composer Alejandro Amenabar crafts a very believable film and with stellar performance from Nicole kidman, Alakina Mann, James Bentley, Fionnula Flanagan, Eric Sykes and Elaine Cassidy- The Others left me feeling cold and very shakey by the end.
A genuine ghost story that I highly reccoMmend you don't watch ALONE.
