Review of The Other End of the Line (2007) by Roland S — 19 Aug 2011
Hmmm ...so this is meant to be a rather sweet tv romantic movie.
I'm watching it just I couldn't sleep and every now and again its good to try something different.
Some reviewers are able to enjoy it as just a cross cultural romance with maybe just a few dodgy accents and maybe some limited budget, however...
It's hard for any BAME member to not feel ever so slightly uncomfortable with the underlying connotation.
I'm only half way through but I can se where this is going and it puts me very much in mind of 'The secret laughter of women' with Nia Long and Colin firth.
I wont be surprised if its the same production team.
So, still watch it even if just for the tourist office approved offering of Mumbai and San Francisco.
