Review of The Oscar Nominated Short Films 2014: Animation (2014) by John M — 07 Feb 2014
2/5 --- This year's Oscar Animated Shorts were not as visually unique as last years, not as memorable or as interesting story-wise. There are 5 different shorts with 2 commendable ones, the latter ones I enjoyed the most!...about "18th Century Hens" and "Origami Squirrel.".
The main shorts: "Feral" weird about the wild in man, "Possessions" about things with spirits, "Room with a Broom" cute about friendship, Disney's "Get a Horse" about chasing/pointless, and one of better ones "Mr. Hublot" about OCD and unexpected things in our lives.
Some were very long and others had an unclear message...overall, decent. Not too fond of the ostrich and giraffe bits either!
