Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Cynical D — 29 Dec 2013

Scenes that I have seen in other movies of the genre. Overreacted character of Belén who achieve the center of the movie distracting all the possible suspense with her hysterical behavior (with a very close psychotic conduct).

But, this caotic performance of Belén do not let you even doubt if Laura is insane or not. Flat acting of Fernando Cayo and the appearance of Chaplin with no special effect on the story. Wasted opportunity to explore more the character of Montserrat Carulla (Instead the medium appearance).

I have seen, by far, better movies of this kind and there are too many of them. This is just one more of them but not the best one or about. The psychologist... Oh! there was a psychologist...
