The Orphange was one of the greatest films, perhapse the greatest horror to comeout within the last ten or so years. We seem to get away from the fact that horror is based in the though process. It plays to our insecurities and to what goes bump in the night.

This flim leads you through a dark journey that turns into two movies in one. A mystery and a horror, but they are so perfectly synced its hard to realize it. There was no need for slashers nudity or the usual stupid sneak scare startle.

The scoring plays in excellently to set the mood the camera angles are unique and allow you to focus on the situation. Best part of this movie was the ending that left the audience confused at how they felt happy or sad.

There was a resolution but was it a full resolution or only a partial, was it a happy ending or a sad one. That is the best part its for the viewer to decide and there is no wrong answer.
