Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Nguyen Thuy H — 24 Oct 2012
Just like the over-rated Pan's Labyrinth which sucker punches me into a "moving" ending, here is a film that ignores the inner crisis of its character, takes liberty with meaningless plot turns (mainly there for shock effects and nothing else) and opts for style over substance.
Its predictability can be overshadowed by the ending moment, but when one is in a clear mind again, one has to realize that this is completely a piece of trash.
