Review of The Orphanage (2007) by Adrian Z — 09 May 2013
Not quite as original as it would like to think, The Orphanage uses the tried and tested mother-child horror trope to dull effect, with the sceptical and distanced husband, bumps in the night and the obligatory twist.
Despite this, competent acting, and sharp direction keep it from giving way to its abundance of cliches.
