Review of The Order (2003) by Barb D — 12 Oct 2009
This one is dark and plain irreverant. I LOVE it because of it's edge and it's message of hope for the outcasts. I also love the the Old World " archane" and the crazy chick's ecclectic spirituality. Any of us bent to the spiritual, are a wee crazed, eh? I'm sure the unorthodoxy of the piece harmed it's ratings as it's protrayal of the church is mockery. But, it was FUN and being a bit crazed, an artist and a spiritual person with edgey unacceptability.. Well, I can't resist it. I thoroughly enjoyed the resonance of Heath's voice throughout. The portrayal of tortured and convincing heat between Sossaman's character and Ledger's is infectious poison. A good Halloween thriller, if you haven't seen it.
That's about as untheatrical of a review as you'll ever read.... but, it's me.
