Review of The Order (2003) by Amy V — 29 Apr 2006
First of all, don't read the synopsis it has a spoiler in it. Or, you can read half of it (the first half of course). This is a thriller that requires your full attention and a little knowledge about the church wouldn't hurt.
It's one of those movies you can watch ten times and still pick up new things. I believe this is an extremely warped version of true events from back in the 1500s (?) when there were some in the church who were absolving sins.
According to Tetzel "For every coin that in the coffer rings, a soul to heaven springs." In other words people bought passage for their and their families souls to reach heaven.
