Review of The Order (2003) by Loretta — 13 Jul 2008
The Order may not have been Heath Ledger's best work. But than again when you look at the rest of what he'd done, it's not hard to see why. However Ledger still put forth a great effort. I've seen this tagged as "ridiculous" and "silly" but really, it's somewhat like a Da Vinci Code without the hype.
I think alot of people who didn't like it were religious people, or people who just wanted to see Ledger in another role along the likes of his more popular ones like "A Knights Tale" where he's gleaming in inspirational settings.
But in all honesty, when you break this movie down, it's got great elements of a thriller. You really can't say whats going to happen next. The other 2 that also starred in A Knight's Tale alongside Heath also still showed off their skills.
If you watch this movie without preparing to compare it to Heath Ledger's other movies and take it in as another movie, it really isn't half bad.
