Review of The Open House (2018) by Pangur — 19 Jan 2018
Another Netflix production that fails . Seeing the trailer had me excited to watch this , while it started off well, with jump scares that worked , as a viewer you already know this is not a haunting but something else, it's the something else that leaves you asking what the heck is going on and why? People other than potential buyers have extra interest in the house that is never explained creating a mystery with no answers.
The Mother & son go through a lot of repetitive & stupid moments. The last 25 minutes the story amps up but fails to the bitter end leaving the viewer with a feeling of what was the point of this in the first place?? moment.
Netflix is a pay for view service and frankly their movies are a joke. Very disappointing movie that had great potential.
