I'm a big fan of The Onion newspaper and website, but this collection of sketches really falls flat. The joy of reading the Onion is just that; reading. The occasional video clip is fun, but their ability to satirize news reports is where the Onion writers shine.
Try to act those reports out with actors and it just sinks before it even gets started.
