I much preferred this version. Slicker, much less wooden characters, a very cute Damien! I suppose that's just the difference between how acting was done in the 70s vs now. I don't think that I'm indoctrinated to current ways of acting, as I watched a 1965 film the other day and loved it.
I just that maybe the original version of the Omen was a bit pantsly done!
