Review of The Omen (1976) by Josh B — 19 Mar 2010

I have been trying to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and I so I decided to give this movie a try. I thought, " Hey, cool. It's about the birth of the AntiChrist and has Gregory Peck. What the heck..".

This film certainly had my brain a wondering: What if...the Anti-Christ were alive right now, of course it turns out that was the whole idea behind making the movie. The whole movie certainly kept me on edge the whole time: especially the dogs in the graveyard. I thought they were goners...A great classic to sit down and watch and it was definitely kind of interesting seeing how much film-making has changed over the years. It certainly earned it's R rating not from the horror but the decapitations and impaling...whew.

I can't say how many more times I'll be caught watching this...'cause I don't think I'll need to watch it anymore to remember it and I most definitely don't need reminding that Satan is working on his plan to claim his temporary title as king of the hill..I'd rather use the time to think about the true King who will return, claim His children and take them home with Him.

P.S. How can a kid recover from playing a character like that?! Sheesh..
