Review of The Omen (1976) by Patric C — 07 Nov 2010
Continuing proof that nothing is quite like an original 70's horror movie. This story of the anti-christ in the form of a young lad is excellently paced and surprisingly far from outdated. Young Damien still remains the creepiest little kid in horror with his innocent little outfits and that famously disturbing smile.
For those of you who want to experience real suspense and legitimate horror, I highly recommend The Omen. Anyone can be startled by a loud noise, a gimmick 99% of horror movies use today in order to muster screams, but it's the uncomfortable creepiness from films like these which truly keep you awake at night.
