Review of The Omen (1976) by Jonathan W — 25 Jun 2014
An intense, suspenseful nailbiter, "The Omen" mixes the best elements of horror films and psychological thrillers and offers several bone chilling moments in the process. One thing that I liked about the film is that all of the deaths could be explained on both a coincidental and supernatural wavelength.
Is Damien really the son of Satan, or just a victim of cruel coincidence? The end result proves to be truly terrifying, with excellent performances from Peck and Remick, and an ice-cold performance from Harvey "Damien" Stephens .
.. a chilling movie, from beginning to end.
