Review of The Omega Man (1971) by William Y — 22 Nov 2010
You have to suspend belief, the costumes, and the music score to make this move work.
Once you do, you end up with Charlton Heston and Anthony Zerbe's head to head match up creating a true cult classic. Based on the book "I am legend", Omega Man has everything that the recent movie with the book's namesake doesn't.....bad special effects and characters that you actually find interesting, especially when they interact with each other.
Omega man is by far the best of the three movies made from "I am legend". The great Vincent Price's "Last man on Earth" comes in second.
