Review of The Omega Man (1971) by Martin B — 01 May 2011
This is the stuff.
Just watching Charlton Heston operate the vintage sterao gear (top notch in 1971 of course) makes this film worth while watching.
I so like the pace, sounds, looks and idea of this movie.
There is a lot of use of white contact lenses that propably was scary in 1971 and some strange where- and whyabouts of "the family", the mutants that dress up like monks and likes to set things on fire. How have they forgot about electricity or to drive cars in just two years?
But that's just details. Wonderful epic dystopian drama.
I beleive there is a modern take on this ,.but I don't really care, I know it's gonna be crap compared to this.
