Review of The Odd Way Home (2013) by Facebook U — 06 Jun 2014
I loved this movie. Just like toy makers aren't children, critics aren't audiences. Every audience member who saw it liked it, so go with the audience reviews. It started a little slow and Willis' acting was just a little stilted at first, but not for long.
She relaxed into her role and was doing wonderfully by about 20 minutes in. Chris Marquette was just stunning, I loved him so much. As one other reviewer said, his performance just made me want to cry he was so heartbreakingly real.
A great, lovely, soft movie about how your family is not always the people you were born to but often those you meet along the way. I recommend this movie heartily.
