Review of The Odd Couple (1968) by Eric N — 15 Jul 2007
Recently-divorced, neurotic neatnik Felix is taken in by his best friend Oscar, who's also divorced, and a slob. Living together drives them absolutely nuts, like it did for their wives. This is one of the best plays-turned-movies I've seen.
Perfect casting! I love both of these characters, the supporting characters and the actors who play them. Neil Simon's script crackles, with one-liners flying faster than you'll be able to catch them.
