Both the TV series and the film, works to a treat. Matthau and Lemmon, were chalk and cheese in every film together, yet the early ones are to me the best. The Odd Couple, probably most remembered than others becasue of the simplicity of the story, it is always about Oscar and Felix and a relationship which is as close to a married couple as you could imagine.
