Review of The Odd Couple (1968) by Matt H — 12 May 2014
Great movie, amazing how much it holds up. Just hilarious, still. One of those movies you think you know enough about to not have/want to see, wish I seen this sooner. Matthau is very good and all in this, but Jack Lemmon is in another league entirely, such a terrific actor, I don't why I still get a little surprised at his greatness.
Too bad Billy Wilder didn't get to direct this, it feels very much like something he'd do.
