A timeless classic. It's the story of a neurotic and fussy neat-freak (Lemmon) who is thrown out of a 12-year marriage by his long-suffering wife and takes up residence in the Manhattan apartment of his sloppy and totally irresponsible friend (Matthau).

Pitting these two unlikely roommates together within the same four walls makes for some hugely funny predicaments. A very impressive screenplay with brilliant comedic acting and timing in this movie. Now over 40 years old, it has lost none of it's power.

This movie is full of amusing and at the same time touching scenes. An intelligent, entertaining comedy with much heart. Highly recommended.
