Review of The Nun (2018) by Paris O — 27 Nov 2018
A horror cliché movie with no trick un tapped. The whole story makes little to no sense the character arcs are generic and the big reveal is just a desperate attempt to tie the film to the rest of the conjuring franchise.
The whole reason the first 2 conjuring films were a success was due to them being close enough to the real events that they engaged you. the conjuring felt more like a legend than a film, whereas this film takes that and destroys it completely.
They couldn't have got more of a look alike to the actress who plays lorraine warren in the main series to confuse audience members either. For half the film even though her name was stated otherwise several times I legit thought it was a younger version of lorraine. I would say you could skip this film and never miss it.
