Hard to believe this is from the same team as The Conjuring. It has almost no story and the characters are bland and two dimensional. The scares feel like you're in a haunted house where things jump out at you, but you're not emotionally connected to anything so it never becomes truly frightening.
It has none of the sheer terror of the conjuring universe. Bummer!
